Ahead of the first race of the season for Team BRIT racing driver, Aaron Morgan, we wanted to share with you the story that inspired our partnership with Aaron, as he pushed himself to the limit to continue his career in motorsport following a devastating accident in 2006.
The first race for Team BRIT in the Britcar Endurance Championship is on Saturday 24th April 2021 at Silverstone. Aaron's journey to racing
From the age of seven, Aaron regularly took part in local race meetings, with a keen passion for motorsports. In April 2006, Aaron had a life-changing accident whilst riding a jump on his favourite track, causing him to break his spine. He was in a coma for almost four weeks, followed by a lengthy period of recovery at the Duke of Cornwall Spinal injuries Unit in Salisbury.
Aaron returned to study, eventually achieving a 2:1 in Sports Science at Brunel University and then returned to his passion for motorsport, becoming the youngest disabled person to achieve a National B Race Licence. Since 2014, Aaron has raced as the only disabled driver in the BMW Compact Cup Championship. Having been approached by Founder and CEO of Team BRIT, Dave Player, Aaron is set to take to the track with Team BRIT in 2020 in the Aston Martin GT4.
